Cinnamon Sugar Banana Bread

It’s a cold and rainy day today and this recipe is the perfect thing for it! It makes the house smell amazing while making it cozy as you cuddle under a nice big blanket! It’s nice and moist and has a nice swirl of cinnamon sugar right in the middle of the bread to give it a pop of extra sweetness. That along with the crusty cinnamon sugar topping make this a recipe you will want to make over and over again!  [Read more…]

I was making dinner this weekend and I could smell it in the air. That sharp crispness that only autumn air has. Which means that this really is the end of summer. While I do love summer, I’m looking forward to the cooler nights and the beautiful foliage. But you don’t need to let go of summer just yet, you can put together a delicious Summer Berry Pie to see goodbye in the most delicious way possible.  [Read more…]

Caramel Glazed Bundt Cake

Caramel Glazed Bundt Cake

Oh this cake. I have this bundt cake pan that I feel like I just don’t use enough so I wanted to make an awesome, delicious cake that had a glaze that soaks into it. This cake was amazing! The actual cake was good on it’s own but the caramel glaze pushed it over the top! It gave it a sweet moist undertone. This is a must try! The most important thing about making a bundt cake is that you need to make sure the pan is well greased and you need to make sure the cake is completely cooled off before removing it. That’s important, otherwise your cake will be all crumbly and it just won’t look good.  [Read more…]

Honey Cornbread

Honey Cornbread

Cornbread is something that I didn’t eat a whole lot of for awhile. But then this amazing BBQ place opened up right by my house and we started getting cornbread with our meals. Lets just say I was in love! Now since we can’t live on BBQ alone, as much as I would like to, I sometimes like to just make cornbread alone to have it when we get a craving. This recipe bakes up nice and moist, no dry cornbread in this house!  [Read more…]

Apple Cider Pie

This time of year means many things: colder weather, fall foliage and a lot more apples and pumpkins! Apple cider is something that tastes the best in the fall and is the perfect ingredient for this pie! Simmering the apples in the cider gives it amazing flavor. I used store bought crust for this as a time saver but if you prefer homemade, go for it! This recipe can work with both kinds of crust. This is going to be the star of your Thanksgiving table! Blueberry Banana Bread

Blueberry Banana Bread

I love banana bread, it’s such a perfect way to use up those old ripe bananas. This bread is simple but tastes delicious. When I made this, it was gone pretty quick. Everyone will love this! Please note that this recipe makes two loaves of bread so if you only want one loaf, cut the ingredient list in half. Also remember that the berries will be super juicy after baking so watch out if you eat it too fast! A hot blueberry can hurt!  [Read more…]
