I love pierogies. There is something about that mix of cheese and potatoes that just makes me happy. Now add some sweetened bacon into the mix and you are in taste bud heaven! Bacon is that food that if you love it, it’s very hard to screw up. I had a bunch of bacon that I wanted to do something fun with and once I saw that bottle of maple syrup, I knew I had found my answer. The syrup gives a nice coating to the bacon and it has an amazing sweet and salty mix that you will love at first bite. Not to mention it saves you time on cleanup and it saves really well so you can make a big batch and keep it on hand for when you need it.
