You know you are an adult when you get excited over really weird things. Like when my husband said that he bought a spiralizer. If you are unfamiliar, it’s a device that turns your vegetables into noodles. It’s amazing! I also realized at that moment that I was a grown up because why else would I get so excited over an appliance! What’s also amazing is how easy it is to make zucchini noodles. Here’s how you do it:
Ingredients:
1 large zucchini
2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions:
1) Using your spirilizer, run your zucchini through to make noodles.
2) Heat oil in skillet over medium high heat. Once hot, add noodles.
3) Cook for 5-7 minutes depending on how soft you want the noodles.
4) Put on a dish and top with your favorite sauce.
It really is amazing how easy this is. Once you have your noodles made, you can really get creative and make whatever you like! You can take the garlic sauce from my Baked Bacon and Cheese Tortellini and mix it with the zucchini for a yummy dish. In these photos, the noodles are topped with some of my Sunday Sauce and some grated parmesan.
