Sweet and Sour Pork Chops

I absolutely loved how these pork chops came out! They were full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The sauce gave the meat an extra something without overwhelming the meat. You should defiantly try this out!

Ingredients:

3 boneless pork chops, patted dry

Salt and pepper

4 tablespoons butter

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar (see here)

3 tablespoons honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon oregano

1 teaspoon basil

1/2 teaspoon thyme

Salt and pepper

Instructions:

1) Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

2) Season chops with the salt and pepper. Melt the butter in a cast iron or oven proof skillet on medium high heat. Sear one side of the chops till golden brown, about 3 minutes. Flip the chops and transfer skillet to oven.

3) Bake chops for 10 minutes, longer if you have thicker chops.

4) While the pork is cooking, heat a small saucepan over medium high heat. Whisk the vinegar, honey, garlic, oregano, basil and thyme. Add salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil and then reduce to medium low and simmer till slightly thickened, 5-10 minutes.

5) Drizzle the sauce over the chops once they are out of the oven and let sit for a few minutes to let it soak into the meat.
