August is winding down but there is a few days left to soak in summer and what better way to do that then with a cocktail featuring a supremely summer fruit: peaches! August is National Peach Month so this cocktail recipe from Santa Margherita is just the refreshing kick you need to soak in those last summer rays! This recipe uses Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore DOCG so make sure you pick that up at the store while picking up everything else. This wine goes perfectly as it already has hints of peach in it already so it is a great choice for this drink!
Ingredients:
1 bottle Prosecco
3 peaches, pitted and halved
1/2 fresh ginger, chopped
3 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons lime juice
3 cups crushed ice
Instructions:
1) Place peaches, sugar, lime juice and Santa Margherita Prosecco into the blender. Blend at medium till smooth.
2) Add ice and run again till fully mixed. Serve.
