Philly Cheesesteak Bread Bowl

Philly Cheesesteak Bread Bowl

It’s safe to say that we love anything Philly Cheesesteak around here. My first recipe here was Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Peppers and I recently made Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls. I made tomato soup in a bread bowl a few weekends back and it came out great so I decided to try out some stew in the bread bowl and see if it has the same effect. This came out great! The bread soaked in all the extra flavor and it was delicious. My husband and I ended up sharing the bowl to cut down on how much bread we were eating. You can also just eat the stew and then save the bowl for lunch the next day, just pop it in the oven for a few minutes to crisp up and you have a delicious toasty second meal!  Continue reading “Philly Cheesesteak Bread Bowl”

Perfect Roast Turkey

Perfect Roast Turkey

Around Thanksgiving time my local grocery store does a promotion where if you spend enough money in a certain amount of time then you get a free turkey or ham for the holidays. So I picked one up and on Christmas vacation, we decided to do another mini Thanksgiving. I had this cooking up along with some Crockpot Mashed Potatoes and Parmesan Roasted Asparagus. We had no complaints, especially when I made some Homemade Turkey Gravy with the drippings! This is a great recipe if you are taking care of the turkey for Thanksgiving for the first time.  Continue reading “Perfect Roast Turkey”

Chicken with Garlic Butter Sauce

Chicken with Garlic Basil Sauce

I love how easy this dish is. No oven time, not a lot of prep work and it’s FILLED with flavor! My husband said several times how delicious this was. The sauce simmers away on the stove while your pasta is cooking and makes you hungrier as you wait. You don’t have to use spaghetti with this, you can use your preferred go-to pasta but I thought the spaghetti was great. This is a perfect weeknight dinner! Homemade Turkey Gravy

Homemade Turkey Gravy

I will make a confession….I was never a big gravy fan. I was always take it or leave it. But I married somebody who’s pretty much in love with it so I needed to get on board the gravy train. Now I could use the powdery packet stuff they sell but I think you should try to make as much as you can homemade. Now this gravy may just make me a gravy eater because it was amazing! This is a perfect addition to my Perfect Roast Turkey and Bacon Wrapped Turkey Rollups! Continue reading “Homemade Turkey Gravy”
