Honey Garlic Baked Chicken Thighs

July 18, 2014 By: Skaal15 Comments

Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs

These Honey Garlic Baked Chicken Thighs have a great flavor and cook up so well in the oven. They involve marinating so you need to plan this one out ahead of time to make sure you have enough time to really get the marinade to seep into the meat.

Ingredients

4 Bone in Chicken Thighs

3 Tablespoons Olive Oil

3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce

3 Cloves Chopped Garlic

3 Tablespoons Honey

Salt and Pepper

Instructions:

1) Take large ziploc bag and mix olive oil, soy sauce, garlic and honey in bag.

2) Season chicken with salt and pepper and add to bag. Marinate for at least 4 hours.

3) When ready to cook, preheat oven to 425 degrees. Place chicken in large baking dish skin side up.

4) Bake for 25 minutes, turn and bake for another 15 minutes. Turn again and finish cooking for 10 more minutes.

I let the meat sit when I take it out of the oven to let the juices and glaze set in, you only need a few minutes but it makes a big difference.

No, that would make the chicken too soggy. Just toss any leftover marinade.

I added a tablespoon of Sambal Oelek for some heat. Really balances the dish. I also doubled the garlic because you can never have enough garlic. Went great with Jasmine rice and peas.
