Garlic and Basil Pork Chops

Now that it’s summer, it’s the perfect time to make your neighbors jealous with something yummy smelling coming from your yard! This recipe is great because the prep is low and it’s quick to prepare. The marinade makes these chops have fantastic flavor and gives it an awesome char that you can only get from a good grill night! You can have these on the table before the family gets too hungry and you can eat outside in the beautiful weather. 

Ingredients:

4 bone-in pork chops

2 garlic cloves, chopped

1/2 cup chopped basil

2 tablespoons lemon juice

2 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions:

1) In large sealable container or plastic bag, mix garlic, basil, lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper. Add pork chops and make sure they are coated well. Let sit for a few hours in the marinade, turning the chops if needed.

2) Heat grill to medium-high heat and place chops on direct heat. Grill for 5 or 6 minutes, until medium rare. Make sure the internal temperature in 145 degrees. Let rest for 3 minutes and serve.
