Easy Rice Pudding

We don’t do a ton of dessert around here only because we are usually pretty full from dinner but when my husband mentioned that it had been awhile since he had rice pudding, I knew I had to make him some. I played around with a few recipes but this one is called Easy Rice Pudding for a reason, because it was super easy and it came out the best. It was the perfect level of creamy and sweet. All of the ingredients blended together perfectly and you will love it. If you are on the fence about trying to make it yourself, then this is the best starter recipe. You can adjust the seasoning as you practice more but I got no complaints from my end!

Ingredients:

2 cups white rice

3 tablespoons butter

2 cups whole milk

1/3 cup white sugar

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

1) Cook your rice according to package instructions.

2) Put all ingredients into a medium saucepan and stir together over medium heat.

3) Stir constantly to prevent burning, keep it at a simmer.

4) Cook for 25-30 minutes until thick. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Sprinkle extra cinnamon on top.

  1. This looks interesting. I have never tried making rice pudding but would love to try this soon. Perhaps this coming Saturday and hopefully the kids will like it.
