Ham and cheese sandwiches are delicious and these sliders add an extra pack of flavor with the coating. They are easy to make and bake up quickly. I like these because they are a great appetizer option if you want something thrown together that can feed a lot of people. The glaze sets into the bread nicely and adds a great something to the ham and cheese! I also found that these set well the next day as leftovers. The glaze doesn’t ruin the slider bread so you can save an extra for a nice lunch the next day! So if you want to make all of your guests happy at your next get-together, add these Baked Ham and Cheese Sliders to your menu! [Read more…]
Sandwiches are a staple but there is something about a really great sandwich that makes your whole day better. A classic grilled cheese is always good but the mix of caramelized onions, BBQ sauce and cheddar makes this sandwich something to absolutely love and want over and over again! I use mayo as a spread when I make grilled cheese because they make amazingly melty sandwiches, you can read more about that here. [Read more…]
I love sandwiches! There is something so satisfying about an awesome sandwich. It can be whatever you want it to be. Full of meat and cheese or brimming with veggies that taste amazing. A Monte Cristo is a pretty decadent sandwich. Full of meat, cheese and then dipped in a batter and fried……this isn’t a quick snack, this is a meal. I loved this at first bite. [Read more…]
Weekends are my time. Monday through Friday my mornings are rushed and frantic trying to get out the door. Weekend mornings I try to have nothing planned and try to relax and be lazy. I get some stuff down around the house, I drink some coffee, maybe watch some Bob’s Burgers, just take it easy. A lazy morning deserves an easy breakfast. My husband buys bacon in bulk so we thaw out a package and fry up the whole thing. Then we put it away for whenever we need it. [Read more…]
So if you haven’t already figured out…..I’m pretty obsessed with grilled cheese! Check out here , here, here and here for proof of my love. It’s one of my favorite things ever so I always love trying new versions of it. I watched It’s Complicated a few weeks back and besides falling in love with that kitchen (you know what I’m talking about), I wanted to inhale the sandwich that Meryl’s character made. It looked amazing! Now I could have done the original recipe with the croissant, but I wanted to import the idea into something different. Here’s a Croque Monsieur Grilled Cheese! [Read more…]
If there is one thing I have an absolute weakness for it’s garlic bread. Crispy bread, melted butter and garlic. So simple but so delicious. If I’m craving some quick, I usually make a few slices of Texas Toast with some of my homemade sauce and it’s a few minutes of heaven. I love homemade garlic bread though and this recipe is an amazing way to have some garlic bread with a favorite. The meatballs come out very flavorful and mixed with the sauce and melted cheese, it’s perfection! [Read more…]
My husband mentioned recently that I should look into making more hands friendly meals for Sunday during the game. I definitely saw his logic, it’s easier for everyone. No utensils for the eaters and less cleanup for the cleaners! So here’s some Bacon Jalapeño Stuffed Bread! [Read more…]
Mmmmmm cheese. Is there a more magical thing on the planet? I would say that grilled cheese was a huge part of my life in college, I ate it on a fairly regular basis. Now I decided to up my game a little bit and broaden my horizons. Yes, there is a world beyond the usual Swiss and Mozzarella. Gruyere is an interesting cheese, it’s got this smoky taste that makes it stand out and mixed with the cheddar gives your grilled cheese this sophisticated taste. You will notice that I use mayo on here instead of the classic butter, there is a reason for that: mayo has a higher smoke rate. You can cook the sandwich longer to give it char without burning it. You can find out more here. [Read more…]
I love breakfast and all foods associated with it but I have a big love affair with a Bacon (which is more versatile than you think), Egg and Cheese. It’s so good and I keep going for them again and again. This sandwich mixes my two favorite things: bacon, egg and grilled cheese. This sandwich is so, so good and it’s an easy breakfast to make.
