October 21, 2018 By: Skaalcomment

This post was sponsored by AVA Grace Vineyards.

Now that autumn is officially here, that means it’s time for all those fun fall activities. Pumpkin picking, hay rides, sitting outside in front of a fire and enjoying the beautiful weather. If you enjoy relaxing with a drink while partaking in watching the leaves turn (here in New England, it’s quite a sight to see), then you will love the line of wines from AVA Grace! [Read more…]

The beauty of autumn in New England is the foliage. Watching leaves change is a beautiful experience. One of the best places to watch the leaves change is in the state of Vermont and now you can plan your trip around your favorite ways to drink. Peachy Keen Cocktail

August 26, 2017 By: Skaalcomment

August is winding down but there is a few days left to soak in summer and what better way to do that then with a cocktail featuring a supremely summer fruit: peaches! August is National Peach Month so this cocktail recipe from Santa Margherita is just the refreshing kick you need to soak in those last summer rays! This recipe uses Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore DOCG so make sure you pick that up at the store while picking up everything else. This wine goes perfectly as it already has hints of peach in it already so it is a great choice for this drink!  [Read more…]

For those who love wine, it’s something you plan and budget around. I know those who enjoy wine tastings that really enjoy trying new brands and adding to their collection. But lets be honest, it can be expensive. Two bottles of wine could run you up to $50. Thanks to apps and monthly clubs, you don’t have to pay out the nose for your alcohol anymore. Some people just can’t put that kind of money down so here are some ways to save money on alcohol.  [Read more…]

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Drink

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Drink

My husband introduced me to this one day. He tried RumChata at a bar and liked it. It’s a rum mixed with milk, sounds gross but it’s pretty tasty. This is a super easy drink and, according to my bartender friend, is the latest cool thing to drink. The drink in the picture is a double so don’t go filling a mason jar with this, you’ll be on the floor.  [Read more…]

Hot Toddy

Hot Toddy

I really hate getting sick. It happens to all of us eventually but life responsibilities and children do not cater to the sick. I’ve been fighting a nasty cold the past few days and I’m finally starting to come out the other side. I tried not to load up on the cold meds too much because I’m not a fan of how loopy they make me. I decided to try a hot toddy one night and see how that faired out. A hot toddy is old school medicine, I guarantee a few of your grandparents were making these when they and their kids were sick. This is the adult version, but you can leave out the alcohol if you are making it for a child. [Read more…]

A perfect fall cocktail! I decided to try something new one night and came up with this. Very easy and a great option if you want a drink at the last minute and can’t get supplies at the store.  [Read more…]
