Caramelized Pork

I scored at the grocery store and ended up with a ton of pork butt for a great price. Now I had to figure out what to do with it. I could do the classic Pulled Pork but I wanted to switch it up. I had seen caramelized pork with a more Asian twist but as I am not super knowledgeable in Asian themed cooking, I mixed it up and tried it out my way. I didn’t have fish sauce or coconut water but I used some chili powder and garlic to give the meat some flavor to blend with the sweet caramel. These came out tender with a nice sticky coating.  Continue reading “Caramelized Pork”

Honey Roasted Chicken Thighs with Veggies

I’ve been using a lot of chicken thighs lately as they are almost always on sale at the grocery store. I can do my staple recipe, Honey Garlic Baked Chicken Thighs, but sometimes I like something a little different. This recipe for Honey Roasted Chicken Thighs and Veggies comes out perfectly! The sauce makes everything taste incredible. The sweet potatoes and asparagus worked wonderfully for me but you can use regular potatoes or green beans if you want to try something different.  Continue reading “Honey Roasted Chicken Thighs with Veggies”

Maple Baked Bacon

Bacon is that food that if you love it, it’s very hard to screw up. I had a bunch of bacon that I wanted to do something fun with and once I saw that bottle of maple syrup, I knew I had found my answer. The syrup gives a nice coating to the bacon and it has an amazing sweet and salty mix that you will love at first bite. Not to mention it saves you time on cleanup and it saves really well so you can make a big batch and keep it on hand for when you need it. If you are looking for a good syrup, this is a great quality one.  Continue reading “Maple Baked Bacon”

Crispy Chicken Thighs

Anyone who does the grocery shopping knows that chicken thighs are a great bargain! You can get a bunch for relatively cheap but it can get boring if you run out of ideas for them. That’s why I love these Crispy Chicken Thighs! They cook low at first to not dry out the meat and they come out super juicy on the inside with that awesome crispy skin that’s full of flavor!  Continue reading “Crispy Chicken Thighs”

If you don’t have a waffle iron, you can use your George Forman grill and get some nice and quick. Nothing beats a nice warm fruit sauce and this Homemade Blueberry Sauce is just the thing to make your waffles or pancakes taste even better! This recipe works for both frozen or fresh blueberries but if you do use frozen, make sure you let them thaw out for an hour or two before using. Continue reading “Homemade Blueberry Sauce”
