I was contacted by the people at LoopPay and asked to try their product and give an honest review. I’ll be honest, it sounded a little too good at first. LoopPay is basically an electronic way to carry all of your credit cards, gift cards, etc. It’s a mobile wallet. It was a little unbelievable but I decided to try it out. I thought about all the times that I was holding up the line at the store because my wallet was buried at the bottom of my purse underneath makeup, toys, diapers and everything I decide to stuff in there because it’s more convenient that a diaper bag. Anything that saves me some time is always a plus for me.
LoopPay is pretty awesome. Especially from a busy mom standpoint, I can’t be the only person who just has too much stuff already when I’m at the store. I have a big wallet stuffed with all my different cards. It takes up a lot of room plus taking kids anywhere means bringing more stuff with you. Diapers, toys, etc. Do you just throw things into your purse to deal with them later? Or even worse, take your wallet out of your purse and get distracted only to realize that you don’t have it as you are in the checkout line? LoopPay fixes that.
Basically all you need is your phone and the LoopPay Fob, you download the app onto your phone and enter your basic information. Then you insert the Fob into your headphone plug, scan whatever cards you want to store, designate a default card and you are ready to go! The Fob can be attached to your keychain and all you need to do when you pay is press the button and hold it up to the card slider. I was amazed at how quickly it processed and I didn’t have to dig through my bag for my wallet. All I did was click the button and hold it next to where I would normally slide my card. A few seconds later, I heard a beep and the reader asked me to confirm my purchase. It works just like a regular card! When you want to alternate between cards, you just plug the Fob into your phone, choose the card and hold it up to the card slider. Easy breezy!

What was really the standout feature for me was the safety. It’s a little leery uploading all of your financial information onto a little device but the beauty is that the Fob is linked to your phone so if you accidentely lose it, it’s useless without your phone and your pin number. Even if someone found it and tried to plug it into their phone to get your info, they won’t access it since the Fob would only link up to your phone. So your actual card numbers will never be seen except by you. The app is also pin protected so your information cannot be accessed if your phone ends up in the wrong hands. Your card numbers and information are locked away and nobody can see it without your personal pin number. In a time of information stealing all around, knowing that there are secure options for our credit cards is comforting.
The best thing I can say about LoopPay is that you should try it for yourself and see how it can make your life a little easier. You can find the information here. It works with both iPhone and Android products so it’s easy to find a method that works for you. Right now they offer the Fob, which I used and the Charge Case, which works like the Fob but can also charge your phone on the go. There are more options coming soon.
