It seems like winter is going on forever! Every time a nice day shows up it’s followed by more crummy weather. It snowed in Connecticut yesterday! Snow….in April! I’m totally over it and the dry skin that comes with it. One of the worst things about dry skin is how bad it can escalate. I had a horrible experience with dry skin but found the solution!
The cold, dry winter air plus the constant hand washing to keep from getting sick gave me horribly dry, cracked skin. It was so bad that I couldn’t wash or move my hands without pain. No regular lotion worked, even doctor prescribed stuff did only the bare minimum and it was so greasy that I hated using it. Plus, I would constantly be scratching my hands to try and stop the extreme itching, which made things worse. You can see how bad the dry patches were. I was embarrassed to show my hands and everyone thought it was eczema. Taking a shower or getting my hands wet at all was painful because they would just burn.
But I finally found the relief I need with O’Keefe’s Working Hands! This stuff is incredible. It’s affordable, smells good and most importantly….works! Within a few days my hands felt softer and less itchy. I have never gone back and I always make sure I keep a jar handy. It’s been over a year without any issues.
The first couple of times you use it, it’s going to burn. It’s only temporary and it means the cream is doing it’s job. Make sure you always have it on you the first week or two till the moisture gets restored in your hands. You are supposed to reapply every time you wash your hands to make sure it stays absorbed.
After about 2 weeks, I was able to just use this as night cream before bed and that’s what I’ve been doing ever since. I also use it if needed during the day if I do extra hand washing, like cold and flu season, but I haven’t had a bad skin spell since using this product. To say I highly recommend it is an understatement.
