I will make a confession….I was never a big gravy fan. I was always take it or leave it. But I married somebody who’s pretty much in love with it so I needed to get on board the gravy train. Now I could use the powdery packet stuff they sell but I think you should try to make as much as you can homemade. Now this gravy may just make me a gravy eater because it was amazing! This is a perfect addition to my Perfect Roast Turkey and Bacon Wrapped Turkey Rollups!
Drippings from your turkey
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup chicken broth
Salt and Pepper
1) Try to get skim some of the fat from the drippings and pour through a strainer into a saucepan. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
2) Whisk flour and broth together in a bowl and add to drippings. Whisk till smooth. Add salt and pepper.
3) If mixture is too thick, add some water to the pan to loosen it up before serving. Make sure it’s well mixed before serving.
