This is something I wish I discovered so much sooner! Crispy avocado is like an explosion of awesomeness in your mouth, it is great as a salad topping or as just an appetizer before a meal. This is such an amazingly simple thing but it tastes great!
1 avocado sliced into strips
1/2 cup flour
1 egg whisked (I add a splash of milk)
1/2 cup of panko breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons olive oil
1) In three separate bowls, put flour, egg and breadcrumbs/garlic powder.
2) Put olive oil in pan and heat to medium high heat.
3) Run avocado pieces through the flour, egg wash and breadcrumbs/garlic powder, giving a good coating all over.
4) Place pieces into pan and cook on all sides till golden brown.
The flavor that you get with these is incredible! I’m a big avocado fan so I could eat it plain, but I was blown away at how good these were cooked!
