Everyone loves an easy chicken recipe! That’s why this BBQ Cheddar Chicken recipe is perfect because it’s packed with tons of flavor yet it’s still easy to put together. I used Sweet Baby Ray’s sauce because I love it, however if you have a brand of sauce that you really love or you want to add even more heat to this, then feel free to use your preferred brand. If you don’t have a basting brush, you should definitely invest because it makes adding sauce so much easier! I like this one here. It’s inexpensive and works great to really get your sauce all over the meat.
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup BBQ sauce (see here)
Salt and pepper
1 tablespoon garlic powder
4 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
1.5 cups shredded cheddar
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2) Coat chicken in salt, pepper and garlic powder and place into a baking dish. Baste each side of the chicken throughly with BBQ sauce.
3) Bake for 30 minutes, until 165 degrees inside. Set oven to broil.
4) Top with cheese and bacon. Place back into oven and broil until cheese is melted, about 4-5 minutes.
